Finding bits and pieces belonging to five separate mannequins, and a clam shaped children's wading pool led to thoughts of Botticelli's "Birth of Venus". The figure is contemporized, with a nod to to Botticelli's water skimming Venus, by the giving the figure a found skim board.
In this work a miniature video camera films across the stomach of the figure and the video is fed live to a projector mounted on the sculpture resulting in the image seen on the wall behind the figure. The sculpture then contextualizes itself into the scene in a birth of video scenario.
