I found that no artist had ever rendered the "Martha", the ship that discovered Lake Macquarie, in Australia. This discovery was a mistake - the Captain of the Martha, William Reid, thought he was somewhere else at the time, so Lake Macquairie was called "Reid's Mistake" for a while.
The "Martha" was wrecked on the return leg of this ill fated journey and given the lack of imagery of the vessel I felt entitled to make a fanciful rendering after my own fashion.
