The first in a series of works that examine the latent power of images of remote, lost and ephemeral works that are largely known only through image and film representations, but which, despite the lack of direct experience are well accepted as great works.
In this series of works I was intrigued to see if producing sculptures that generated somewhat cinematic renderings of these great works would tap into part of the psychological "knowing" of the works themselves and create a stronger emotive response to the generated video than would seem reasonable given the means of its creation - in this case a camera passing over a view of some torn black cardboard glued to a sheet of plywood.
