This sculpture generates both a toy theater proscenium view, and a shadow theater projection of a simple maritime scene. with a ship slowly sailing across the horizon line, and a plane periodically passing over.

The scene depicted in the piece is the same as in "Beneath the Surface" 2003, but here condensed, and solved with different optical and technical strategies, and with the addition of the proscenium view.
