This sculpture was made while participating in the Triangle Arts Association International Residency Program. This program takes advantage of empty office spaces, and buildings undergoing renovations, taking possession of space and converting it into studio spaces for the short term of the residency only.
When this piece was made the studios were in a building on Main St in Dumbo. This work, except for the motors used in mechanizing it, was made entirely from trash found in the building.
The piece features two opposing rotating screens, as well as smaller supplemental image making screens. The viewer can follow the screen, which pauses at each of six scenes, each with its own supplemental screen. A never ending narrative of noir like scenes are presented.
